The idea of Hussein International Youth Conference (HIYC) came into existence as it was proposed by a fellowship resident of Tun Hussein Onn Residential College, The National University of Malaysia, named Muhammad Izzat Ebrahim. HIYC formed a committee comprised of Frontèra Hussein members, a leadership club in Tun Hussein Onn Residential College. On Friday, 17th December 2021, the first meeting between the committee members took place to ensure the idea of the conference will come to fruition.

HIYC has developed its very own new structure of the conference, which focuses more on networking and discussion among the delegates. Given the above, 4 clusters/groups have been established (Education, Environment, Healthcare, Social). Therefore, delegates will be divided into 4 clusters/groups and will work together alongside other delegates to produce the best initiative on the issue that will be given during the conference.
